Perform with us at the Cary Christmas Parade

Ready to get into the holiday spirit? Let's spread some festive cheer together! Open Arts is thrilled to once again be participating in the Cary Christmas Parade, and we want you to be a part of it. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season with your dance family and share our unique Open Arts heart with the community.

Key Details for the Parade

• When: Saturday, December 12th at 2:00 pm

• Where: Downtown Cary

• Who: All dancers from Open Arts are invited to participate!

  • PS & Kinder dancers will walk with an adult family member along the parade route and help us pass out candy canes.

  • 1st Grade and older dancers will perform the parade routine, which we will teach in our regular classes.

  • SHINE and OAPC dancers do not need to register - you will perform with your respective companies.

• Save the Date: All Parade Performers (Studio, SHINE, and OAPC - but not PS & Kinder aged students) need to attend Parade Rehearsal on Friday, December 11th from 5:30-6:30pm at the studio.

How to Join the Fun

Participating in the parade is easy! We will learn the parade routine in class, so no extra prep is needed. The Parade Participation Fee is $30.

• All Parade Performers (excluding SHINE and OAPC) will need the Open Arts Parade Sweatshirt. This is the same design as 2025. If you do not have a sweatshirt or need to order additionals or extras, please use the Sweatshirt Order Form. Dancers will also need to wear black pants/leggings and tennis shoes. We also have a Sweatshirt Swap Spreadsheet to help facilitate any donations of out-grown sweatshirts you'd like to make or if you're looking for a gently used option: Sweatshirt Swap Spreadshset.

• The deadline to register and order sweatshirts is Thursday, October 22nd.

• You can sign up directly through your Online Account under the 'Events' section. If you need a little help, we've created a quick video to walk you through it.

• Or, simply stop by the front desk, and our team will be happy to get you registered.
