Brave Fearless Friends
Brave Fearless Friends - or BFF - is our leadership and empowerment program created specifically for the Middle School Years. This 3 Year Program includes a summer immersive experience each year and monthly meet-ups September-May to build community and offer opportunities for service, self-development, and connection.
Rising 6th Graders are able to join our new cohort each summer at our BFF Summer Immersion.
At Open Arts, we believe in fostering an environment that nurtures leadership and empowering the future impact-makers of our society.
Dancers in 4th and 5th Grade are invited to serve as Assistant Apprentices to learn dance and leadership skills under the tutelage of our assistants, emerging teachers, and current staff members.
Dancers in 6th-10th Grade are invited to serve as Teacher Assistants and volunteer in our youngest classrooms to receive training on effective classroom management, lesson plan creation, teaching dance technique, creating choreography, and differentiating instruction for all learners.
Finally, High School Juniors and Seniors who have been a part of the program for at least 2 years are given opportunities to teach classes, camps, and workshops as a part of our Emerging Teacher Training Program.
