Studio Programs

At Open Arts, we are committed to cultivating programs that inspire all of our dancers to reach their highest potential - both inside the studio and beyond. From performance-based opportunities to leadership programs and community service opportunities, we are always striving to ensure every dancer has a way to be more involved at Open Arts.

Open Arts Performance Company

The Open Arts Performance Company is an audition-based company made up of highly committed dancers who wish to maximize their dance and performance training. OAPC Dancers develop skills that no only ensure they reach their highest potential as dancers and performers but also the character and leadership skills necessary to be successful in school, life and any professional career they may choose to pursue.

The OAPC is committed to promoting dance and performance within our studio, the Morrisville Community, and all those who may not otherwise get to experience them.

Open Hearts

Special Needs Dance Classes

The Open Arts Performance Company hosts free monthly dance classes for kids with Special Needs. We love sharing our passion for movement with our community. Contact us today to begin dancing with our Open Hearts program.

Brave Fearless Friends

Brave Fearless Friends - or BFF - is our leadership and empowerment program created specifically for the Middle School Years. This 3 Year Program includes a summer immersive experience each year and monthly meet-ups September-May to build community and offer opportunities for service, self-development, and reflection.

A new cohort of BFFs begins each summer. Don't miss out!

Teacher Assistant

Training Program

Dancers in 6th Grade through High School are invited to participate in our Teacher Assistant Training Program.  Dancers volunteer in our youngest classrooms and receive training from our staff on effective classroom management, lesson plan creation, teaching dance technique, differentiating instruction for all learners, and creating choreography.

High School Juniors and Seniors who have been a part of the program for at least 2 years are given opportunities to teach classes as a Substitute and lead Summer Camps and Studio Dance Events.

National Honor Society

for Dance Arts

High School aged dancers can complete various service, education, leadership, and performance tasks at the studio to earn points for induction into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. Graduating Seniors are able to apply for awards and scholarships as well as graduation cords and pins.

Sparkle Squad

The Sparkle Squad was created for dancers who LOVE to perform but aren't looking for the extensive time commitment of our Performance Company.

All current Open Arts dancers can register for one or more Sparkle Squad opportunities each season with community and studio performance opportunities. You will attend 3-4 required rehearsals prior to the performance and receive a costume for your performance, too!

Sparkle Squad opportunities vary from year-to-year so be sure to check our weekly Studio Scoop e-mails to see when the next opportunity is available.

Dance Performance Trips

We've danced under the lights of Times Square and down the streets of the Walt Disney World Resort. Where will we take our dancers to perform next?

Summer 2022 we are headed back to Disney! It's not too late to join us. Let us know if you'd like to learn more about this exciting trip.
