• We allow dancers to wear any combination of dance attire - leotard, tights, leggings, tanks, shorts - that are form-fitting and allow staff to see proper alignment and technique in class. No loose clothing or denim for any class. Warm layers may be worn for warm-ups but should be removed at the request of staff as necessary.

  • 3rd Grade and older Female Ballet Dancers should wear a leotard and tights only and have hair in a bun (or equivalent) for every class. No exceptions. No skirts during barre work, please.
     

• All dancers need to have hair neatly pulled back and away from the face.

  • 3rd Grade and older Female Ballet Dancers should have hair in a bun for every class.

• We prefer pink ballet slippers, black jazz shoes, and black tap shoes. Here are specific needs for certain classes:​

  • PreSchool and Kinder Ballet, Tumble, Hip-Hop - Bare Feet

  • Ballet/Tap Combination - Pink Ballet Shoes, Black Tap Shoes

  • Ballet/Jazz Combination - Pink Ballet Shoes, Black Jazz Shoes

  • Ballet - Pink Split-Sole Ballet Shoes

  • Pre-Pointe - Pink Split-Sole Ballet Shoes + Bare Feet (Convertible or Transition tights are required)

  • Pointe - Pink Pointe Shoes (visit Releve Dancewear to get sized for a pointe shoe that is appropriate and best suited for your feet.) Convertible or Transition tights are required.

  • Jazz - Skintone Slip-on Jazz Shoes

  • Hip-Hop - Plain White or Black Tennis Shoes or Dance Sneakers (these shoes should have a clean outsole and be used solely for dance class/worn only in the dance studio)

  • Musical Theater - Skintone Slip-on Jazz Shoes

    • Middle School and High School Aged Dancers will need Black Character Shoes (Females only. Males still wear black slip-on jazz shoes)

  • Tap - Black Oxford Style (lace-up) Tap Shoes

  • Acro, Modern - Bare Feet​
