About Open Arts:
At Open Arts, we honor the heart in the arts by creating an open, welcoming community where dancers and their families feel loved, supported, and empowered. Front Desk Associate
The Front Desk Associate is the warm, friendly face of Open Arts. They are responsible for greeting trial customers, current dancers, families, guests, and teachers with enthusiasm and care. This role requires someone passionate about our studio’s mission and programs who can confidently communicate our values and offerings.
The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, sales, and customer relations while maintaining trustworthiness to handle accounting and communication tasks. Keeping the studio clean and welcoming is also a key responsibility.
This position starts August 1st, 2026 and is open Monday through Thursday 4:15-8:45pm and Saturdays 9:00am-12:00pm. We are hiring for full or partial coverage of these times.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Greet and warmly welcome all visitors, including trial customers, dancers, families, and teachers, ensuring a positive and supportive first impression of Open Arts.

Answer questions with enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge about our diverse dance programming, studio events, and community culture.

Assist families, dancers, guests, and teachers as needed to enhance their studio experience.

Handle sales transactions including class enrollment, retail, and upselling opportunities with professionalism and care.

Handle customer communications including trial scheduling, enrollment follow-ups, new family check-in calls to foster strong studio relationships, outstanding account management, and general studio inquiries.

Support Directors & Staff with event, performance, and costume management tasks.

Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping, wiping surfaces and mirrors, taking out trash, and other tasks to maintain a bright, inviting environment.

Availability to Open and Close studio each shift.

Opportunities to work and support the studio community at Performances and Events.

Qualifications:

​Passionate about dance, the arts, and Open Arts’ mission to honor the heart in the arts and empower every dancer.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming demeanor.

Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort handling customer questions and concerns.

Experience or aptitude in sales, customer service, and basic accounting/bookkeeping tasks.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy studio hours.

Trustworthy and dependable with a professional approach to communication and handling sensitive information.

Comfortable performing light physical cleaning tasks.

Preferred Experience:
-
​Customer service or front desk experience, ideally in a dance studio, performing arts, or community-focused environment.

Familiarity with studio management software or point-of-sale systems is a plus.

Dance Instructor
We are always looking for inspiring educators who provide high-quality dance education in an atmosphere of respect and encouragement. While we may not have an immediate opening in a specific genre, we welcome applications from teachers who want to be part of our Open Arts team.
