The Open Arts Performance Company is hosting it's 3rd Annual Spring Gala on Saturday,
March 5th from 5-7pm at the studio. The Spring Gala is a spotlight of brand new student choreographed works and a fundraiser for the Open Arts Performance Company with a silent auction and raffle.
Since it's inception in 2015, participation in the Open Arts Performance Company has always been "fee-free" for our dancers. In order for dancers to take responsibility for their training and develop the leadership and organizational skills that are critical to their success on and off the stage, all company dancers must work towards creating an operating budget for the company to cover staffing, rehearsals, technique and master classes, costumes, performance opportunities, and other related expenses.
When you attend the Gala, bid on Silent Auction items, and purchase Event Raffle Tickets, you're supporting our company dancers in their work to fund their education and to bring dance and artistry to our studio and community.
In order to make the Gala as safe as possible this year, we are offering timed entries for small groups to enter the studio for 2 separate performances in each dance space. These performances will feature new dance works performed by OAPC members and choreographed by our OAPC High School dancers. We'll have an OVER THE MOON snack bar, Galaxy Sparkle Hair, and other activities under the stars out back for you to enjoy before or after your timed entry. We are so excited about our return to a LIVE Gala Performance this year that we're giving away a FREE SUMMER CAMP OR CLASS of your choice to one lucky winner that attends this year's event. All you have to do is sign-up for your timed entry above and attend the event to be entered to win. We'll announce the winner at the end of the event when we close the Silent Auction and pull Raffle Basket winners.
The Silent Auction will once again all be online this year. We'll be adding auction items to the website as we have them available and bidding will begin on Sunday, February 26th and will close at 6:30pm on the day of the Gala. Winners need not be present to win, but do need to be able to pick-up physical auction items in person at the studio by March 12th. Winning bids can be paid via Venmo @Open-Arts or we can accept cash or charge Online Accounts of current families.
We'll once again have FOUR GIANT Raffle Baskets for you to win at the Gala again this year. With fun themes and jam-packed full of fun, games, sweets, treats, and glam, you won't want to miss out on your chance to win one of these baskets. We'll start selling Raffle Tickets on Monday, February 27th at the studio - bring cash or Venmo us @Open-Arts - $1 each or 6 for $5 or 15 for $10!!
We'll also have tickets available for purchase at the Gala Event. Drawings will take place around 6:30pm and the winners need not be present to win but will need to be able to pick-up baskets in person at the studio by March 12th. Stay tuned for pictures!
