After feedback from our families at last year's Showcase Expo, we are excited to be hosting a HANDS-ON Showcase Hair & Make-up Workshop to help our dancers and parents learn some helpful tips and tricks to preparing Showcase Hair Styles & Age-Appropriate Stage Make-up.
We know that these skills may not be something you're fully comfortable with doing on your own, so we're here to support you along the way. We'll be showing you several different ways to secure hair neatly for performance and multiple bun strategies, too - with and without tools. We'll also talk about ways to enhance your child's natural facial features under harsh stage lights while maintaining age-appropriate practices and honoring each individual family and dancers' comfort levels when it comes to wearing make-up.
To make this entire process as easy and stress-free as possible, we're also offering HAIR and MAKE-UP Kits. Each kit will include the essential items you will need for Showcase Hair Styles and Basic Stage Make-up. You'll have the items to practice with at the Workshop and plenty of supply to use for Picture Day, Dress Rehearsal, and Showcase Day, too!
You're also welcome attend the event with your own supplies. You will just want to make sure you have a minimum of these following items to make the most of your time with us:
Eyeshadow in dark/skin tones with a brush
Blush
Mascara (water proof is recommended)
Lipstick (lip stain or long wear lipstick is recommended)
Hair ties
Bobby pins
Spray bottle for water
Hair Spray
Hair Brush or Comb
Bun Maker Optional
Keep in mind: this is a HANDS-ON workshop! So you will want your dancer to attend with you. Dancers in Middle and High School are welcome to attend alone if they would like to learn more about preparing their hair and make-up on their own.
Sign-up to join us at the event on Saturday, March 16th from 10-11am at the Studio using the Online Form. We'll charge your Online Account for the event based on how you choose to attend:

So that we are able to secure supplies in time for the event, please be sure to sign-up by Sunday, March 3rd if you're planning to attend and would like either a Hair or Make-up Kit.
